As a life-long citizen of this community with four beautiful daughters, I find Bishop LaValley’s as well as the Catholic Church’s position on the implementation of the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be laughable and hypocritical at best, and deplorable at worst. As an institution which both historically (as well as currently) turns a blind eye and through silence, inaction, and via their own “offender relocation program” condones the rape of thousands of young boys (and girls) by members of its ranks, the kind Bishop and his organization are in no position to offer a moral high ground or advice on health care. Clean up your own house first before espousing to others.
