Bad Canton roads

It seems like every year the Village of Canton struggles to keep our streets and roads in anything resembling decent shape. On Main Street as you head out towards Potsdam, there is a stretch from the movie theatre past the St. Lawrence Romoda entrance that simply should not be driven on with all of the potholes. Drivers are forced to drive partially in the median just to avoid hitting them. Taking side streets doesn’t do anyone any favors either - Judson Street is a mess, too. Each year, I see crews out in the spring and summer making temporary fixes that don’t last through the next season, let alone our winters. With all we pay in taxes we should at least be able to drive through the village without worrying about popping a tire. When the winter is over, I will gladly deal with delays if the Village of Canton will finally step up and make some permanent fixes. And if I pop a tire before then because I couldn’t avoid the potholes, I can tell you where I’m sending the bill.
