Brianne Allyn Wicks and Benjamin Scott Sterling were married Saturday, July 14 in Ogdensburg.
Brianne is the daughter of Michael Wicks and Jennifer Lacks of Gouverneur. She is a 2007 graduate of Gouverneur High School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music in music education. She currently teaches vocal music at Lowville Academy.
Benjamin is the son of Scott and Tania Sterling of Gouverneur. He is a 2005 graduate of Gouverneur High School and he studied at SUNY Potsdam. He is currently working as a licensed real estate salesperson with TLC Real Estate.
The ceremony took place at the Gran-View in Ogdensburg, with Justice of the Peace Wallace Sibley, a family friend, officiating.
Music was provided by Beth Johnson on the piano and Elizabeth Girard on the violin, accompanied by the vocals of Jennifer Haynes.
The bridal party included maids of honor Britney Mulvaney and Jennifer Hinrichs, bridesmaid Danielle Easton and bridesman Derek Downs.
Standing up with the groom were best men Marshall Boprey and Nicholas Sterling, and groomsmen Samuel Sterling and Justin Patton.
Breyden Wicks, the bride’s brother, served as a ring bearer.
The reception was also held at the Gran-View, with DJ Jeff Burt of Top Hat Entertainment and the band Rewind providing entertainment.
The bride chose to wear the “Disney Cinderella” gown by Alfred Angelo.
