Memorial service for June M. Saucier, 89, formerly of LSBH in Brasher, will be held on Friday (August 20, 2010) at 12:00 noon at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Massena. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Norfolk.
June passed away on August 9, 2010 at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena.
She is survived by her children, Sandra and husband Richard Laba of Massena, Gary and wife Cheryl Mae Saucier of Brasher Falls, Arthur "Skip" Saucier of Hurley, and Jed and wife Debbie Saucier, of Potsdam; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Van Diver of Spokan, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward "Busse" and Earl Dumas; and two sisters, Virgina Stoddard and Ruth Harkness.
Born June 8, 1921 in Malone, she was the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Laraby) Dumas. She married Artle J. Saucier on February 25, 1941 at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Massena. Mr. Saucier predeceased her. She was an illustrator in the art department at Xerox Corporation.
