Helena Lohe Davis and Durwood Royal Kennedy Jr.

Helena Lohe Davis, 8900 Riverwind Lane Apt. 201, Raleigh, NC, and Durwood Royal Kennedy Jr., Clayton, NC, are engaged to be wed October 6, 2012.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Lori Davis, 1304 West Lake Road, Heuvelton. She is a 1998 graduate Heuvelton Central School, a 2002 graduate of LeMoyne College with a degree in Political Science, and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in public administration from North Carolina State University. She is currently employed as a program analyst for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The groom-to-be is the son of Durwood and Peggy Kennedy, Goldsboro, NC. He is a 1996 graduate of Wade County Day School, a 2006 graduate of North Carolina State University with degrees in civil engineering and communications; and has a degree in design from Universality of North Carolina. He has recently received his Professional Engineer Designation with the state of South Carolina. He is currently employed as an engineer for South Carolina State of Transportation, Bridge Construction division in Charleston, SC.
