Emily Marie Burns and Shawn Michael McClure

Reggie and Dale Burns of Colton and Les and Ruth McClure of Gouverneur are pleased to announce the engagement of their children Emily Marie Burns and Shawn Michael McClure, both of DeKalb Junction.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Christian Fellowship Academy, and earned an associate degree in liberal arts from SUNY Canton and bachelor degree in sociology from SUNY Potsdam. She is a peer counselor for North Country Children's Clinic.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Gouverneur Central School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 2001 to 2008. He will graduate in May 2012 from SUNY Potsdam with a bachelor degree in geology.

A June 30, 2012 wedding is planned.
