Lori L. Sovie, 48, Massena

Funeral services for Lori L. Sovie, age 48, of Woodlawn Ave., Massena, will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 30, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Sovie was killed in an automobile accident on Sunday, December 25, 2011.

Mrs. Sovie is survived by her husband, Thomas; her parents, Robert and Cora Gotham; four daughters, Trudy Foote and her husband Gary of Canton, Francine Butterfield and her husband William of Heuvelton, Bobbi Sue LaFountain of Massena and Samantha Abar of Massena; one son, Dylan Sovie of Massena; two step children, Kimberly Brown and her husband John of Ogdensburg and Scott Sovie and his wife Amber of Massena; two brothers, Robert Gotham of Hermon and Rusty Gotham and his wife Debra of Russell; her mother-in-law, Mary Sovie of Ogdensburg; twelve grandchildren, Leah, Tyler, Robert, Jakob, Christopher, Matthew, Amanda, Ashley, Emily, Colin, Jordan and Maddison. She was predeceased by one brother, Larry.

Mrs. Sovie was born on February 24, 1963 in Canton, the daughter of Robert and Cora Harmer Gotham. She graduated from Canton High School in 1981. She married Frank LaFountain Jr. on August 16, 1980; he passed away on October 10, 2000. She later married Thomas Sovie on April 12, 2003 in Ogdensburg.

Mrs. Sovie enjoyed watching wrestling, spending time with her family and listening to country western music.
