Rachel Jean Thompson and Thomas Anthony Ramsdell of State Rt. 420, Brasher Falls, were united in marriage October 8, 2011 at 12:15 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Winthrop with Reverend Rick Vaillancourt officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin R. and Tracey J. Thompson of Winthrop.
The groom is son of Craig T. and Elizabeth J. Ramsdell of Winthrop.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
The maid of honor was Marah Thompson (sister of the bride). Other attendants included Chelsea Geiger (friend of the bride), Alix Broomfield (cousin of the bride), Shannon Ramsdell (sister of the groom), Jenna MacKinnon (friend of the bride) and flower girl Kamryn Palmer.
The best man was Hunter Ramsdell (brother of the groom). Other attendants included Luke Thompson (brother of the bride), Sean Ramsdell (cousin of the groom), Zane Ramsdell (cousin of the groom), Wyatt Ramsdell (cousin of the groom), and ring bearer Keigan Palmer.
The ceremony began with the seating of the grandparents of the bride, Allan and Barbara Hill (Chateaugay), Alice Thompson (Brainardsville), Ron and Marsha Thompson (Brainardsville), and the groom, Walter and Amy Ramsdell (Winthrop), Faye Foster (Parishville).
Readers were Aimee Perry, Darcie MacNeill and Talitha Vaillancourt.
Special music was provided by Miriam MacKinnon performed Household of Faith and Shirley LaGarry and Timothy Ramsdell performed When I Said I Do.
The reception was immediately following at the Knights of Columbus in Brasher Falls.
The bride’s gown was custom made by BNM Bridal & Formal Wear, Winthrop.
The flowers were from Willow Tree Florist, Potsdam.
The wedding cheesecake was done by Chelsea Geiger.

The bride and groom are both graduates of St. Lawrence Central School, Brasher Falls.
The bride is a graduate of North Country Community College, she is employed at LBSH Housing Corp in Brasher Falls.
The groom is employed at Blevin’s Seaway Motors Massena.
