Allen R. LaRock, 64, formerly of Chase Mills

Allen R. LaRock, 64, formerly of Chase Mills, died, September 30, 2011, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Allen-Nichols Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, is in care of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m., at Notre Dame Church, Ogdensburg, with Father James Shurtleff officiating.

Allen is survived by, his sister, Susan (Hal) Fieldson LaValley, Chase Mills; sister-in-law Sharon LaRock, Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother William LaRock.

Allen was born on Aug. 12, 1947 in Ogdensburg, the son of Jerome and Ione Graveline LaRock.

He worked for NYSARC in Canton.

Allen loved spending time with his family, bowling, playing cards, fishing, making puzzles, working on small engines and music.

He was a parishioner at Notre Dame Church and was an athlete participating in Area 27 Special Olympics.
