Grave symbolism talk at Potsdam Public Library Oct. 4

POTSDAM – The Potsdam Public Library Computer Center will host a class History of the Rural Cemetery Movement and Grave Symbolism Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

What can a grave stone tell you about a past relative? Why did they select certain images for their markers?

This is the perfect introductory class for the genealogist, historian or cemetery caretaker.

Harold Sanderson, a local historian and JCC professor will present the class.
