Megan Elizabeth Haggett and Marshall Charles Hughes

Paul A. and Susan L. Haggett, Massena, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth Haggett, Norfolk, to Marshall Charles Hughes, also of Norfolk, the son of Steven and Karen Hughes of Hyde Park, N.Y.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Massena Central High School. She received a bachelor's degree in Music Education with a minor in music business in 2009 and a master's degree in music education in 2010, both from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam.

Megan is curently employed with Brushton-Moira Central School as instrumental director for grades 5-12.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. He received bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Music Business, with a minor in mathematics in 2010 from the Crane School of Music, and a master's degree in Education in Instructional Technology in 2011, also from SUNY Potsdam.

Marshall is currently employed at Scoopuccino's as Digital Marketing Manager and front-of-house staff. He will be assuming a long-term substitute teaching position in the fall in the St. Lawrence Central School District as a grades 5-12 band teacher.

The wedding is planned for August 11, 2012.
