Graveside services for Bernadette Boyer, age 77, of 17 Lake St., Ogdensburg, will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Cemetery with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.
Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Boyer passed away on August 20, 2011 at her home residence.
Mrs. Boyer is survived by one son, Curtis Boyer and his companion, Janis Hemli of Lakeford, FL; two brothers, William LaMere and his wife Sheila of Heuvelton, and Curtis Lachine of Ogdensburg; one sister, JoAnn Deloney of Ogdensburg; two half brothers, Thomas LaMere of Syracuse and Frederick LaMere of Schectady; and three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard Lachine and Roger LaMere; one sister, Marion Dishaw; and her husband, James Boyer.
Mrs. Boyer was born on December 18, 1933 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Arthur and Beatrice (Seymour) Lachine. She attended local catholic schools. She married James Boyer on March 21, 1955 at Notre Dame Church with Msgr. Robert J. Giroux officiating. He passed away in 1995. She worked at ACCO Manufacturing, later working at Pier 37 Restaurant. She later worked for Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mrs. Boyer was a very active member of the Ladies Auxiliary Club.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Ogdensburg VFW and to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
