Frank L. Canfield, 68, Massena

Full Military Honors for Frank L Canfield, 68, of Haskell St. Massena will be held Monday (August 1, 2011) at 10:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery II Norfolk. Frank died Tuesday (July 19, 2011) in the Buffalo Veterans Hospital.

Surviving Frank L Canfield is his wife Sandra; three stepchildren, Thomas Peters of Baldwinsville, Sue and William Peters both of Massena, three step grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother, William Canfield of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Donna Ward of Massena; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Murawski.

Frank was born on June 30, 1943 in Carthage the son of William and Emma (Gibeau) Canfield. Following his education he enlisted in the US Army where he proudly served during the Viet Nam War. He was honorably discharged in 1976. In more recent years Frank was involved in environmental waste removal. Frank married the former Sandra Peters on October 2, 1993 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Massena. Frank was a member of the Am Vets Post # 4; he enjoyed motorcycle riding and working on anything that was mechanical in nature.
