Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Young, 85, Gouverneur

GOUVERNEUR -- Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Young, 85, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Gouverneur Hospital.

There are no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Jacqueline was born in Gouverneur on July 6, 1937, the daughter of Russell and Retha (Stowell) Sibley.

She graduated from Gouverneur High School and married Stanley H. Young Sr. on April 13, 1957.

Jackie had worked at the Sunshine Hardware Store, J.J. Newberry Store, Grants Department Store, and Ames Department Store before retirement.

 She enjoyed baking, crocheting, going for rides with Stan, and spending time with her friends, family, and her pets.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Stan Sr., her sons Stanley H. Jr. “Fuzzer” and Laurie Young, Russell A. “Rusty” and Robin Young, Tracy L., and Cheryl Young, her brothers Terry Sibley and Richard Sibley, several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandchildren Justin M. Young, Brodey A. Young, Ryan S. Young, Rachael M. Young, and Jeremy L. Young, and Tanner J. Young, great-grandchildren Grant and Mia, Cassidy, Colby, Levi, Caleb, Ryelyn, Alex, Peyton, Shae, Zachary, and Pyper.

Jackie is predeceased by her parents, Russell and Retha, a sister Georgianna Perrigo, and her granddaughter Erin Rene Young.
