Potato famine, Irish immigration topics of Sunday talk in Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg History Museum, 206 Ford St., will host a free program with historian Julie Madlin Sunday, March 19, at 11 a.m. about the Potato Famine and Irish immigration to Ogdensburg.

Madlin is from Ogdensburg and attended Syracuse University and SUNY Potsdam.

She has taught middle school social studies for 31 years and is president of the museum, and vice-president of the Association of Public Historians of New York State.
