Canton Village Board sets calendar related to budget work for 2024 fiscal year

CANTON – The Canton Village Board has established a calendar to work on the budget for the June 1 to May 31, 2024 fiscal year.

Three special meetings involving work sessions will be held March 27, March 29 and April 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Canton Municipal Building.

A public hearing for the budget will be held April 19 at 6:15 p.m.; the night of the board’s monthly meeting.

A final special meeting/work session will be held April 24 at 5:30 p.m. A final review and vote on the 2023-2024 spending plan will take place April 17 at 8 a.m.

The village board must adopt a budget and wage schedule by May 1.
