Grand jury report: three Ogdensburg residents indicted for Walmart robbery

CANTON – Three Ogdensburg residents accused of stealing property in a forcible manner this summer in the City of Ogdensburg were indicted Thursday by a St. Lawrence County grand jury.

Tanner Delarge, 26, of 1223 Mechanic St., Patrick Murphy, 34, of 720 Elizabeth St., and Joan Clary, 252 Belmont Courts, were each indicted for second-degree robbery stemming from an alleged incident on Aug. 27 at the Ogdensburg Walmart. It is alleged the trio left the store without paying for items and when confronted by a Walmart employee, a physical altercation ensued.

Court documents reported that both Delarge and Murphy have prior felony conviction and are subject to be sentenced as second felony offenders.

Delarge was convicted of third-degree attempted possession of a controlled substance March 11, 2013. Murphy was convicted of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on Sept. 4, 2012.

In grand jury action Jan. 12:

Danquan Murdock, 26, of Utica, who is currently an inmate at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, was indicted on two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

It is alleged Murdock was found to be in possession of more than one-eighth ounce of both methamphetamine and cocaine following a traffic stop on Rt. 37 in the Village of Massena on Dec. 26, according to court documents. An earlier North Country This Week article reported Murdock was allegedly in possession of approximately 18 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 10 grams of cocaine.

It was also noted that Murdock has a prior felony conviction and is subject to be sentenced as a second felony offender. He was convicted of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon Jan. 14, 2022 in Oneida County Court.

Adam Deleel, 36, formerly of Ogdensburg and currently an inmate at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, was indicted on two counts of first-degree criminal contempt.

It is alleged Deleel violated a court order of protection on Nov. 14 and Nov. 16 in the City of Ogdensburg by failing to stay away from the person whose behalf the order was issued.
