Elizabeth Mary Drohan, 92, Massena

MASSENA — Elizabeth Mary Drohan, 92, sadly passed away on November 12, 2022 at her home with family.

Family and friends are welcome to attend calling hours on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral at 12:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, 64 Andrews St. Massena, NY. Interment will be at a later date.

Elizabeth was born on June 3, 1930 in Cornwall Ontario Canada to the late Benjamin and Josephine (Wiesnesk) Jaskula. She attended French schools, learning the language, culture and made long-life friends.

By age 7 she was fluent in three languages.

The exposure to different cultures made her kitchen a culmination of great aromas and foods enjoyed by so many.

She married Thomas Drohan on August 6, 1949 at Saint Felix church in Cornwall.

They were married for 53 years. Tommie predeceased her in 2002.

She was also predeceased by her siblings John Jaskula, Henry Jaskula, and Stella Nawrocki and most recently, her oldest son James (Batts) Drohan.

She is survived by her children Daniel and wife Pamela of Schenectady, daughter-in-law Karen Martin of Utica, Debra Kershner and Kathleen and John Romeo both of Massena. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jhavari for many years of tender care.
