Mrs. Lorraine Louise Trickler, age 85, of Potsdam, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 at her home while under the care of her family and the Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Robert Aucoin celebrant. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Lorraine is survived by her two children, Lucy M. and Edward Curtis and Jacqueline and Thomas Wolfle; sisters Maxine Latini and Patricia Prosper; a brother, Thomas LaVean; grandchildren Donald Abramo, Dawn Bagley, Edwin Curtis, Renee Gonyea, Joseph Curtis, Jaimie Wolfle, Kim Wolfle, Lisa Wolfle and Thomas Wolfle; and 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Donald LaVean.
Lorraine was born April 17, 1926 in Potsdam, to the late Wilfred and Rose Greenwood LaVean. She was married to Alfred William Trickler. He passed away on November 29, 1997. Lorraine was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and loved her parrots.
