Three Canton residents facing felony, forgery, grand larceny charges following traffic stop in Louisville

LOUISVILLE – State police arrested Regan L. Green, 30, Timothy J. Green, 28, and Amber R. Sanderson, 23, all of Canton, for various felony, misdemeanor and vehicle and traffic infractions stemming from a stop at a state police road check on Co. Rt. 40.

Sanderson, who was operating a 1996 Subaru Legacy with both Greens as passengers, was pulled over for a loud exhaust.

Subsequent investigation revealed that due to insurance not in effect as of January 1, 2010, Sanderson had a suspended license.

As the investigation continued, Sanderson and Regan Green were found to be in possession of various items that are associated with and had residue of Oxycontin as well as several checks that belonged to Sanderson’s grandparents written out for various amounts of money.

Police determined that Sanderson had forged her grandmother’s name to the checks and she, Timothy Green and Regan Green passed the checks at various establishments throughout St. Lawrence County without the owner’s permission.

St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department assisted with this case and also have charges pending.

All three were taken into custody and transported to the Massena State Police barracks where they were arrested on the following charges:

Sanderson was charged with 17 counts of Forgery Second, 1 count of Grand Larceny, 1 count of Conspiracy, 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Aggravated Unlicenced Operation 3rd-- Unlicenced Operation, a muffler violation, and license plate violation.

Regan L. Green was charged with 5 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd, 1 count of Conspiracy, and 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Timothy J. Green was charged with 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd, 1 count of Conspiracy, and Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd.

All three were arraigned in Louisville Town Court by Town Justice Gettman and were remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail.

Regan Green and Sanders were committed on $1,500 cash/$3,000 bail bond and Timothy Green was committed on $1,000 cash/$2,000 bail bond.

All are to reappear in Louisville Town Court on April 7.
