Opinion: More people need to be aware of Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County, says Gouverneur resident

I cannot thank the Cancer Services Program of St. Lawrence County (Courtney and Jodi) enough for the help and assistance I received when I needed it! The staff were absolutely wonderful throughout my treatment. This program is the best; no words can explain all Courtney and Jodi have done for me.

I had a mammogram shortly before losing my job and health insurance and ended up needing further testing. Without this program I would not have followed up with tests and treatment that I needed. This program covered my core breast biopsy, my doctor appointment, etc.

I was given reassurance and even offered assistance with making the appointments if I needed it. Thank goodness all is okay, but if this program did not exist; I would still be wondering, “what should I do?”

Courney and Jodi are the best, as well as Dr. Oakley.

The Cancer Services Program is a blessing and more people need to be aware of it.
