Kimberly Ann Fisher and Robert A. Barrett

James L. and Ann M. Fisher, formerly of DeKalb Junction, now of Jacksonville, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Ann Fisher, formerly of Ogdensburg, now of Jacksonville, to Robert A. Barrett, Jacksonville, son of Robert W. and Becky Barrett of Gobles, Mich.

The bride graduated from at Lugoff-Elgin High, Lugoff, S.C., in 1999, received an associate of arts degree from the University of South Carolina in 2001, and a bachelor of science from the University of North Texas in 2003.

She has been employed by the Florida Department of Corrections for 7 years as a probation and parole officer.

The groom attended Gobles High School and graduated from Bangor High School, Mich., in 1996.

He has served for 12 years in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electrician, currently a petty officer, first class, stationed in Mayport, Fla.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 24, 2011 in Mayport, Fla.
