Funeral services for Gerald C. Jennings, age 67, of 140 McIntyre Road, Ogdensburg will be private and held the convenience of the Family. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Jennings passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mr. Jennings is survived by his wife Victoria Jennings; his mother, Rea Casey of Ogdensburg; three sisters, Linda Whyte and her husband Michael of Ogdensburg, Donna Raymon and her husband John of Heuvelton and Barbara Spooner and her husband Doug of Ogdensburg; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Jennings was born on September 26, 1943 in Lockport, the son of Rea Casey. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1962 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from which he retired in 1983 earning the rank of Master Sergeant. He served four tours of Duty in Vietnam. On February 10, 1984, he married Victoria Powell in Alameda, CA. After his retirement, he went to work for APS Security in Oakland, CA then to work as a Department of Defense Policeman and then finally working for Burns Security.
In 2009, he and his wife moved back to his home town of Ogdensburg. He loved hunting, NASCAR, fishing and especially spending time with his family.
