$708,000 loan to finance new water collection, treatment system in Newton Falls

CLIFTON -- Newton Falls has a $708,950 interest-free loan headed their way to finance costs of the planning, design and construction of a water collection and treatment system.

The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) has approved $497.5 million in grants and interest-free and low-cost bad credit loans in the past few months to support vital wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects throughout New York State.

Increased funding in the 2016-17 New York State budget is allowing EFC to broaden eligibility for wastewater projects and increase the maximum grant amount for drinking water projects, according to their press release.
