Funeral services for Carlton F. Kerr, 89 of Church St, Lisbon will be held Tuesday 3:00 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Waddington with the Rev Robert Schrimer officiating. Interment will be in White Church Cemetery, Lisbon in the spring.
Friends and family are invited to call Tuesday starting at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Carlton passed away Friday evening, January 7, 2011, at his residence with his beloved family and Hospice.
Surviving Carlton F Kerr are two sisters, Irene Spearance of Lisbon and Geraldine Madill of Heuvelton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Edwin, Arnold, Mark, Dale and Kenneth and a sister, Pauline Kerr.
Carlton was born in Lisbon, October 17, 1921, the son of Rodney and Jennie (Melhinch) Kerr. He received his early education in Lisbon. He worked at one time for the Ogdensburg and later for the Waddington Highway Department. He was a farmer for many years on the Randall Rd, Waddington and a self- employed carpenter. Carlton served in the US Army during WWII in the infantry serving in Germany and France European Front.
