Understanding Wildlife’s “Live On Stage, The Rain Forest” presentation in Canton, Potsdam on Jan. 10

CANTON – Animals from the tropics will be featured in Understanding Wildlife’s “Live On Stage, The Rain Forest” presentations at Banford Elementary School on Monday, Jan. 10.

Understanding Wildlife is a non-profit organization that travels from California to New York City with its rain forest program and a variety of tropical animals.

Animal trainers will make a presentation during the day to students at Canton Central, St. Mary’s School and Canton Headstart. They will explain how energy conservation and recycling will help save the animals the children are seeing and other ways people can help save the rain forests.

At 5 and 7 p.m., a program will be put on for the entire family in the Banford Elementary Cafeteria. Students will be able to interact with a few of these magnificent creatures.

Flying macaws, talking amazons, and mischievous monkeys will be among the animals featured.

The cost for the evening program is $5 per person. Children under 3 years old are admitted for free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
