Shannon Leigh Smith and Carson Joseph Fuhrman

Shannon Leigh Smith, formerly of Potsdam, and Carson Joseph Fuhrman of Rochester are engaged to be married.

Shannon is the daughter of Colin and Kimberly Smith of Potsdam and Suzanne Fisher of Auburn. She is a 2015 graduate of Potsdam Central School. She anticipates graduating from Roberts Wesleyan College in May with a bachelor’s degree in English literature.

Carson is the son of Joyce Fuhrman and the late Rev. Jeffrey Fuhrman of Victor. He is a 2012 graduate of Fairport High School and a 2015 graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

He is currently employed as a psychiatric technician at the University of Rochester, and he is planning to enter a doctoral program in clinical psychology this fall.

The wedding is planned for June 25, 2016.
