Timmielyn Scaggs, 41, Ogdensburg

Funeral services for Timmielyn Scaggs, age 41, of Montgomery Street, Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Moran officiating. Interment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Ms. Scaggs passed away on November 22, 2010 at her home.

Ms. Scaggs is survived by her son, Jacob; her mother, Rachel St. John and Stephen Jacobs of Ogdensburg; her father, Thomas Gooshaw and his wife Peggy of Ogdensburg; one sister, Shirley Cragg of Ithaca; and one nephew Thomas Bush.

Ms. Scaggs was born on November 15, 1969 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Thomas Gooshaw and Rachael St. John. Ms. Scaggs graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1987, later graduating from Nazareth College of Rochester in 1991. Ms. Scaggs taught at Sherman and Kennedy Elementary Schools as an Art Teacher for 18 years, retiring due to ill health.

Ms. Scaggs enjoyed drawing, photography and loved animals. Ms. Scaggs loved teaching and her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
