Michael V. Beane, 56, Gouverneur

Michael V. Beane, age 56, of Gouverneur, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at his home.

Calling hours for Michael will be on Tuesday, November 23rd from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Hailesboro Cemetery.

Michael was born on November 23, 1953 in Gouverneur to Harold G. and Margaret M. (Baker) Beane Sr. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1973. He married Nena Dalton which ended in divorce.

Mike worked as a truck driver for Gouverneur Talc for 34 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by two daughters, Christine M. and Tim Hart of Harrisville and Jennifer Beane and her fiancé Jason Johnston of Gouverneur; a son, Michael J. Beane and his fiancé Jordan Gilson of Northport, FL; two brothers, Roy L. and Jacqueline Beane of Fowler and Robert W. and Liane Beane of Gouverneur; three sisters, Beatrice D. Sawyer of Dekalb, Bonnie M. Davis of Hailesboro and Brenda L. Beane of Richville; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Michael was predeceased by his parents; his ex-wife, Nena who passed away on October 18, 2010; and his brother, Harold G. Beane Jr. who passed away in 1968 during Vietnam.
