Peter Daniel Griffin, 28, Massena

Joint funeral services for Peter Daniel Griffin, 28, and his father Peter David Griffin, 58 will be held Monday, October 18, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church with Rev. Joel Grigg presiding. Interment for Peter Daniel Griffin will be held in Giles Memorial Gardens, Pulaski, TN.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, October 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena. Peter Daniel will have calling hours on Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Birches-Roy Funeral HOme in Pulaski, TN.

 Surviving Peter Daniel Griffin is his mother Evelyn and her husband Richard Decker of Great Barrington, MA, a daughter MacKenzie Griffin of Great Barrington, MA; two sisters, Samantha L. Griffin of Massena, and Sarah A. Griffin of Great Barrington, MA; maternal grandparents, Stanley and Sarah Sherman of Pulaski, TN; a loving companion, Niomi Pranteau of Massena; stepbrothers, Alan Decker and Daniel Decker both of Great Barrington, MA; a stepsister Jessica Hammer of Ashley Falls, MA; three nephews, Tyler Valdex, David Dubray, and Benjamin Griffin; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Peter was born October 7,1982 in Ogdensburg, the son of Peter David and Evelyn (Sherman) Griffin. He attended Massena Schools. Peter loved sports and was an avid basketball, soccer and baseball player. Along with his father they were both avid New York Yankee fans. Peter enjoyed reading and journalizing his thoughts.

He was previously employed with Decker Auto Body Inc. and employed in contracting with area builders in Massachusetts. He was recently accepted to the Academy of Physical Training in Manhattan.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made for a trust fund in Mackenzie Griffin's name c/o Phillips Memorial Home.
