'Diary of Anne Frank' next up for Ogdensburg Command Performances on Monday

OGDENSBURG – Witness the courage, hope and strength of a young girl in the inspiring drama The Diary of Anne Frank from the Barter Theatre on Monday, Oct. 11 at 7:45 p.m., presented by Ogdensburg Command Performances.

This powerful, true story, based on the world-renowned book “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl,” celebrates the courage, hope and strength of a young girl whose message of love has outlasted the oppressive world in which she lived.

Directed by Richard Rose, Anne’s story, told in her own words, has become a source of inspiration for many all over the world.

On July 6, 1942, two families, the Franks and Van Daans, went into hiding from the Nazis in the small attic of an office building in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Two former employees of Anne’s father, Otto Frank – Miep Gies and Mr. Kraler – brought food and supplies for the Franks and Van Daans, as well as an eighth person, Mr. Dussel, until their capture on Aug. 4, 1944.
