Volunteers help pull off Potsdam Chamber move

POTSDAM -- Thanks to the help of many volunteers last Friday and Saturday, the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce office was moved from 1 Market Street to 24 Market St., next to Misty Hollow and across the street from Northern Music and Video.

Executive Director Marylee E. Ballou said she was grateful to the many people and groups who helped with the moving and cleaning Friday and Saturday: Rae Hitchman and her daughters, Janice and Fonda, Pam and Fred Maurer, Rob Bicknell, Scott Smalling, the Clarkson woman’s soccer team, Clarkson men’s hockey and lacrosse players, and Bill Shumway; and Advanced Business Systems and Ryan Jones specifically, for moving the copy machine Friday.

The chamber will have an official Open House on Oct. 20. But everyone is welcome to stop in anytime to take a look.
