Robert E. Fisher, 80, formerly of Ogdensburg

Robert E. Fisher, 80, of Apple Valley Drive, Peru, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center.

He was born in Ogdensburg on July 8, 1930, the son of Harry and Lillian (Duval) Fisher. Robert married the former Ruth Henderson on March 12, 1971 in Ogdensburg.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Ruth Fisher of Peru; three children, Kathy Binion and her husband Bill of Plattsburgh, Lori Cagler and her companion Scott Lalonde of Ogdensburg, and Mike Fisher and his wife Junelle of Ogdensburg; four brothers, Richard Fisher, Jack Fisher, Jerry Fisher, and Jimmy Fisher, all of Ogdensburg; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jeannie Thibert of Ogdensburg, Marlene and Roger Dufort of New York, and Susan and Vincent Catlin of Vermont; seven grandchildren, Sondra Roy, Christopher Binion, Kevin Binion, Nichole Fisher, Leah Fisher, Marissa Cagler, and Michael Cagler; two great-grandchildren, Silas Roy and Gabrielle Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Larry Fisher and Tudy Fisher and one sister, Lynn Lafave.

There will be no public calling hours or funeral services.
