A Mass of resurrection for Ada I. Antwine, 95, formerly of Kent St. will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Jack Downs presiding. There will be no public callings. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Ada passed away on Sept. 22, 2010 at the St. Regis Nursing Home.
Ada is survived by six daughters, and two sons, Reginald M. and wife Mary of Fulton, Rita and husband Claude LaCourse of Cary, NC, Loretta and husband Daniel Bronchetti of Massena, James E. and wife Carol of Baldwinsville, Barbara and husband Warren Miesegaes of Manasquan, NJ, Susan and husband William Marlowe of Knightsdale, NC, Nancy Antwine-Gabriele of Richmond, VA and Brenda and husband James Kearney of Massena; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren; a sister and brother Pauline Courville, of Cornwall, Ontario and Herby Lalonde of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews.
Ada was born on September 15, 1915 in Cornwall, Ontario the daughter of William and Louise (Barrie) Lalone. She married James H. Antwine on November 19, 1934 at the Church of the Nativity in Cornwall, Ontario. Mr. Antwine predeceased her on February 5, 1992. Ada loved to have lunch out with friends, she was an avid reader. Ada was a life member of the Church of the Sacred Heart.
