MASSENA – Zane Michael Peck, age 6, of Victory Road, unexpectedly passed away early Thursday morning, March 10, 2011, in the emergency room at Massena Memorial Hospital.
Zane was born July 10, 2004 in Massena, the son of Kandi Peck and was currently a kindergarten student at Jefferson Elementary School in Massena.
Zane was a fun-loving little guy who loved to play outside, play T-Ball, video games on his Wii and PSP, and skateboarding. He loved to go to the horse races with his Uncle Chuck, watch baseball, and go fishing. He liked dinosaurs, books, and playing with his cars and friends.
Zane is survived by his mother, Kandi, his “Bubbie,” William Bero, and his parents, Leroy and Colleen Bero, all of Rooseveltown; his maternal grandfather and his wife, Gerald and Lori Ashley of Norwood; his aunts and uncles, Chuck and Julie Cruickshank of Massena, John Cruikshank of Malta, Jeremy Ashley of Ogdensburg, Marshall Ashley of Albany, Jim and Cathy Peck of Rochester, David and Tina Peck of Saratoga, Connie and Scott Deon of Indiana, Karen and Jon Foster of Greenfield, Paula and Anthony Langon of Glenville, and Leanne Armstrong of Akwesasne. He is also survived by many great aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Janet and Douglas Peck and his aunt, Hattie Bero.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where funeral services will be held Monday at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jeffery V. Aiosa, officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Area 2, Massena.
