Tracey E. Bango, 43, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 due to accidental drowning while duck hunting in Sandy Creek.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 27th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. His funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Beth Benham officiating. Burial will follow at the Oxbow Cemetery.

Tracey was born on April 21, 1968 in Gouverneur to Larry and Sandra (Sawyer) Bango. He attended the Indian River school and received his G.E.D. in 1994. A marriage to Della L. Fetherolf ended in divorce.

Tracey worked as a truck driver for Santaro, Syracuse and was a substitute bus driver for the Indian River school district. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping.

His survivors include his mother, Sandra (Dean) Mitchell; his father, Larry Bango; his fiancée, Phyllis Dillabough whom is expecting their child; two daughters, Michelle Adams and Savannah Bango; his granddaughter, Davina Stevenson; four brothers, Terry (Theresa) Bango, Timothy (Cindy) Bango, John (Robyn) Bango and Gary (Sandra) Bango; his stepchildren, Cassie, Alex, and Jordan Mikels; by his grandfather, James Garough; and by several nieces and nephews.

Tracey was predeceased by a son, Trever J. Bango who died at birth in 1993; his son, Adam M. Gregory who died in 2008; a brother, Thomas Bango who died in infancy in 1971; his grandmother, Melva Garlough; and twin great-nieces Kaedence Lee and Kierstin Elizabeth Brown who died in 2007.
