Terri Alan Thompson, 69, of Chateaugay, left earth’s confines and entered heaven’s glory on Thursday, November 17, 2022.
Born in Gouverneur, NY, Terri was the son of W. Maitland and Gladys (Selleck) Thompson.
Terri graduated in 1971 from Hermon-DeKalb Central School. He attended Clarkson College of Technology from 1971 to 1973. In 1977, he graduated from Seaway Baptist Bible Institute. He supplied the pulpit for many local Baptist Churches.
Terri married Lucille Holland on August 3, 1974 at First Baptist Church, Hermon.
After working for nearly twenty years at Tru-Stitch Footwear, Terri retrained and earned a degree in accounting, graduating in 2000 from Plattsburgh State. Following graduation, he worked for IBM, Clinton Community College, Com Links, Franklin County Nursing home and was currently employed at Franklin County Public Health.
Terri is survived by Lucy, his wife of 48 years; one daughter, Bethany (Jeremy) Lynn of Delta, Colorado; ten sons, Aaron (Jaimie) of Plattsburgh, Mark (Meagan) of Malone, Joel of Dushore, PA, Jonathan (Katie) of Ellenburg, Seth of Ellenburg, Nathaniel (Heather) of Scobey, Montana, Peter (Macaylla) of Chateaugay, Philip of Chateaugay, Matthew (Rebekah) of the Bronx, and Benjamin of Chateaugay; twenty grandchildren; his siblings, Roberta Bishop, Richard and Daniel Thompson; several nieces and nephews; and a “daughter-in-heart”, Kirsten Thompson.
He was predeceased by his parents; his in-laws, Harlow and Leona Holland; a sister-in-law, Grace Holland; and a brother-in-law, Jack Bishop.
Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Noreau of Anchor Baptist Church, Potsdam officiating.
Burial will be held in Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay.
