Shirley J. Lamb, age 69 of Parishville, passed away on Wednesday, March 23 in the Emergency Room at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam. There will be a graveside service for Shirley on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Hillcrest Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lee Sweeney officiating. Condolences online can be sent @www.garnerfh.com. Shirley is survived by her aunts, Edith Matthie of Richville and Evelyn Planty of Parishville; step sister Betty Lindsley of Madrid; several cousins and her dear friends Glenn and Peggy Collins of Parishville.
Shirley was born June 1, 1941 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Melvin and Bernice Sabre Clough. She was a graduate of Potsdam Central School in 1958. She had a marriage to Jack Lamb that ended in separation. Shirley was retired from the Moongate Nursing Home where she was a trained nurse’s aide.
She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and antique cars.
