MASSENA- Sherry A. LaLonde, 62, of 472 Lacomb Road, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Sherry was born on March 9, 1960, in Massena, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anice (Sturgen) LaRue. She graduated from Massena Central School, and on August 5, 1989, she married Timothy R. LaLonde at Sacred Heart Church.
Sherry enjoyed being with her family and spending time traveling the Adirondacks. She cherished her daughter Kaitlin and that big red dog Rae. She also enjoyed reading, watching TV, and spending time with her sisters when they would go on their outings together. She would do anything for you if she could. She was a good-hearted person and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tim; her daughter Katelin (Isaac) Fugon of Texas; her sisters Barb Hurley of Norfolk and Susan (Claude) Munday of California; two brothers Timothy LaRue of Pawling, NY; and Bill (Janice) LaRue of Norfolk; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sherry was predeceased by her parents Ben and Anice LaRue, her nephew Scott Kimble and brother-in-law Bill Hurley.
A graveside service will be held at a time to be announced in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery Area 2 in Norfolk.
Memorial donations may be made in Sherry’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
