Funeral services for Sharon A. Swanson, age 51, of Hammond, will be held at the convenience of the family but remains under the direction of Frary Funeral Home. Mrs. Swanson passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at her private residence.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Tage; three daughters, Shannon and her husband, John Mertz, of Pennsylvania, Carolynn and Ashley Swanson of Ogdensburg; a brother, Harvey Roggow of Virginia; a sister, Linda Bauman of Long Island; and two grandchildren, Garret Gordon and Miranda Mertz.

Sharon was born on June 29, 1962 in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of Charles and Elva Ayala Roggow. She attended Oswego University and then went on to marry Tage Swanson on September 9, 1990. Sharon was a homemaker all her life.

Mrs. Swanson enjoyed knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.
