A Funeral Mass for Sandra Louise King LaRose, age 63, of Ogdensburg will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home, on 515 Caroline Street, with Rev. Stephen Maddox officiating. Calling hours will be held at Frary Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery following the Funeral Mass. Sandra passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 6, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Ronald, Michael, and Lyle and his companion, Stacie Lytle; one daughter, Lisa LaRose Girard and her companion David Arquitt; two brothers, Chuck Cobb and his wife, Mary, of Brier Hill and Pete Cobb and his wife, Charlotte, of Ogdensburg; two sisters, Edith and her husband, Clifford Montroy, of South Carolina and Debra Smithers of Heuvelton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother and sisters in law, Pete and Barb LaRose, Ronald Knapp and Sheila Herbison both of Ontario, Canada and A.J. and Peggy Barr of Ogdensburg; and three half-sisters and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Randy Dewey.
Sandra Louise King was born March 16, 1950, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Edward and Vivan Jessmer Dewey. She attended local schools in the area. She married Robert James LaRose on April 25, 1970 at the First Congregation Church in Ogdensburg. Sandra worked as a CNA at the United Helpers Nursing Home for 12 years.
She enjoyed bowling, camping, crocheting, and cooking.
