Graveside Services for Sally V. Skakum, age 86, of Ogdensburg will be held in the spring. Arrangements are being handled by Frary Funeral Home on 515 Caroline Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in the spring. Mrs. Skakum passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home.

Sally is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Lacombe and her husband, Greg, of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Patricia Demers; two brothers, Harry Richardson of Ogdensburg and William Richardson of Florida; and two grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Wert and another at infancy.

Sally was born on July 14, 1927, in Ogdensburg, the daughter of Henry and Maude Beckstead Richardson. She attended local schools. Sally married Angelo Comforti and then went on to marry William Skakum Sr. She was a homemaker all her life.
