Sally A. Travis, 70, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 28th at 10:00 a.m. in Hailesboro Cemetery and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
Sally was born in Gouverneur on July 12, 1941, the daughter of Archie and Vera Morse Brozzo. Sally attended Gouverneur schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, loved being in the sun and on the water. Sally married Alan Travis on July 11, 1959 at the Gouverneur United Methodist Church parsonage. Mr. Travis passed away November 25, 2005.
Sally is survived by a son, Alan J. “James” Travis and his wife Kimberly of Gouverneur; two daughters, Terri Boclair and her husband Ernie of Hammond and Karen Travis of Gouverneur; 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Lashbrooks of Gouverneur and Donna Sinclair of Hailesboro; five brothers, Harold Brozzo of Hermon, Robert Brozzo of Richville, Gerald “Bub” Brozzo, Francis Wayne Brozzo, and Randy Brozzo, all of Gouverneur; and several nieces and nephews.
Sally was predeceased by her husband, parents, and four siblings.
