KNOXVILLE, TN — Rodney Alan Smith, 59, of Knoxville, TN, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 2nd.
Rodney was born in Gouverneur, NY, attended Hermon-DeKalb Central and later moved to Canton, NY graduating from Hugh C. Williams High School in 1981.
After school, Rodney served in the US Army and participated in Desert Storm.
After leaving the military, Rodney worked in trucking and manufacturing.
Rodney is survived by his mother, Betty Smith, Leesburg FL, his wife Kathy, Knoxville TN, his children, Spencer and Sarah, Orlando FL and their mother Shannon O’Tyson-DeConda. Rodney’s siblings are his brother Chandler Smith, Leesburg, FL, sisters Mary Bare, Melbourne, FL and Martha Vining, Fletcher, NC.
There are also numerous nieces and nephews scattered across the country.
Also surviving is his faithful furry sidekick, Sam Elliott.
