Robert J. Macaulay, 64, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at his home.

Robert was born in Gouverneur on July 12, 1946, the son of Edward and Helen Geddes Macaulay. He graduated from Morristown High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Robert was employed at Sabin Metal Company in Scottsville for over twenty years and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, motorcycles, and listening to music, especially Southern rock. He was previously married to Linda Turnbull.

Robert is survived by three sons, Derek and Lesley Macaulay of Morristown, Rob and Stephanie Macaulay of Gouverneur, and Cory Wagner of Rochester; a daughter, Jennifer Free of Pittsford; eight grandchildren; three sisters and a brother, Christine Ritchie of Morristown, Penny and Jim Bogardus of Morristown, Edward and Dana Macaulay of Heuvelton, and Linda and Bob Hankins of Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 18th at 11:30 a.m. at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Msg. Harry Snow, pastor of St. Andrews Church, Norwood officiating. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
