Ricky A Fleming, 56, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Claxton - Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg.
Ricky was born June 16, 1954 in Gouverneur, the son of Edwin and Eleanor Harris Fleming. Ricky attended school in Hammond and received a general equivalency diploma. He worked several years for Laborer’s Local Union #322. Ricky married Beverly Bowman on July 19, 1975.
Ricky enjoyed logging, having coffee mornings at the Brasie Corners Store, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Ryan and Melinda Fleming of Rossie; a daughter, Renee and Wayne Stowell of Hammond; his grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, and Chloe Fleming; three brothers, Edwin “Sonny” Fleming of LaFargeville, Al Fleming of Rossie, and Randy Fleming of Theresa; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Jeannie) Burns of Philadelphia, and Kathy Frizzell of Rossie; and nieces and nephews.
Ricky was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Gary Fleming.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the Rossie Community Center and burial will be private at the Oxbow Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Oxbow Vol. Fire Department and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
