Richard “Ricky” Daniell, Jr., age 19, died on September 12, 2010 at home.

Ricky was born on September 14, 1990 in Ogdensburg. He was the son of Richard Daniell, Sr. and Karen (House) Shinski. He graduated from the Gouverneur High School in 2009.

Mr. Daniell has worked as a cleaner for B&B Maintenance based out of Chicago, IL for the past two years. He enjoyed fishing and riding in horse competitions.

His survivors include his mother and step-father, Karen and Michael Shinski of Gouverneur; his father, Richard Daniell, Sr. of Edwards; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Patricia House of Gouverneur; two brothers, Dylan Daniell and Landon Shinski, both of Gouverneur; a sister, Lilah Daniell of Edwards; a step-sister, Brocklyn Shinski of Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur on Thursday, September 16th from 11 – 1 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m. His funeral service will follow in Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Wilfred Baez officiating.
