Funeral services for Richard John LaFlair, age 44, of 811 Pickering Street, will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Frary Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Frary Funeral Home from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mr. LaFlair passed away on January 5, 2011 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Mr. LaFlair is survived by his wife, Pam; two children, Vanessa and her companion Doug Besaw and Ritchie and his companion Jessica O’Grady; one granddaughter, Ava; one brother, Billy LaFlair; two sisters, Evelyn LaFlair and Sandy Pike; and several nieces and nephews, all of Ogdensburg.

He was predeceased by one brother, Robert Hughes in February 2009.

Mr. LaFlair was born on June 4, 1966 in Ogdensburg, the son of William and Barbara (Shannon) LaFlair. He attended local schools. He married Pam Cohen on June 7, 1985. He was employed by the NYS Revitalization Team as a painter, later employed by the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center.

Mr. LaFlair enjoyed his family, gatherings, fishing and loved time spent on the river.
