Funeral services for Phillip C. Oshier will be held Tuesday at 4:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, Waddington with Rev. Craig Hacker officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Waddington. Phillip died Saturday afternoon unexpectedly at home in Madrid. Friends and family may call Tuesday at funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. and ending at the time of the service.
He is survived by children Matthew Clouthier and companion Rachel Synder of Parishville, William Oshier and companion Amanda Streeter of Waddington; a daughter, Jennifer Oshier of Waddington; his mother, Norma Oshier of Waddington; seven grandchildren, Auston, Joshua, Tanner, Sydney, Alex, Alyssa, and Alyson; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Antoinette) Brown of Tampa, FL, Jacqueline K. Kirby of Waddington, Mrs. Norman (Deborah) Williams of Ogdensburg; five brothers; Allen Oshier, Richard E., Kimball F. Todd L, Kevin and wife Michele all of Waddington and several nieces and nephews.
Phillip was born in Massena on June 9, 1952, the son of Allen P. and Norma (Beaty) Oshier. Phillips graduated from OFA and was a painter all his life and was self employed. A marriage to Laura Bleau ended in separation.
He enjoyed working outdoors and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
