Peter E. Marlow, 85, Massena

A Mass of Resurrection for Peter E. Marlow, 4 of Grant St., Massena will be held Wednesday (March 7, 2012) 12 noon at the Church of the Sacred Heart with Rev. Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will be in the spring at Calvary Cemetery, Massena.

Friends and family are invited to call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena. Peter passed away Sunday (March 4, 2012) at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Peter is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Phyllis; his son, Peter J and wife Cynthia of Staatsburg; his daughters, Susan and husband Paul O'Connell of Plattsburgh and Laurie and husband Robert Sienkiewycz of Manlius; and daughter-in-law, Laura Marlow of Plattsburgh; grandchildren Jake and Elyse Marlow, Kacey and (Michael) Merhige, Lindsay O'Connell, Anna and Elli Sienkiewycz, Joshua, Bryan and Ashley Marlow; and a great granddaughter, Emelia Grace Merhige; a brother, Lyle Marlowe of Massena; and many nieces and nephews.

Peter was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Marlow; and his brothers, Royal and Clarence; and sisters Frances Lockwood, Florence Kennedy, Blanche Eddy, Marie Beaudoin and June Perry.

Peter was born August 12, 1926 in Massena the son of William R. and Lena (LaRose) Marlow. He graduated from Massena High School where he participated in track, cross country and was named All Northern in basketball. He married Phyllis Treers June 14, 1952 by Rev. Joseph Heslin at St. Mary's Church, Massena. Peter was employed at Alcoa in the Chemical Lab retiring in 1984. Peter was a member of the Massena Elk's Lodge B.P.O.E # 1702 who will meet for services Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
